Rangana / Prasiddha Gad

Prasiddhagad was one of fifteen forts built by a chief of Panhala near Kolhapur, who seems to have lived at the close of the twelfth century. In the beginning of the eighteenth century (1709), Tarabai took refuge in the fort and was unsuccessfully besieged by Shahu, the grandson of Shivaji.

How to Reach
Prasiddhagad or Rarigna Fort (Kudal T.), on the Savantvadi and Kolhapur boundary, stands on a peak of the Sahyadris about eighteen miles north of Mahadevgad, and is 2,600 feet high.
