The fort was first located by G. N. Dandekar, great historian from Maharashtra. This fort is at a height of 870 feet situated in Karjat District, the base village is Valvande.
Places of Interest
Almost no fortification is left now on the fort. The only place to visit is a cave which is a temple of lord bhairav. One can experience the terrifying beauty of Sahyadri.
Planning Visit
There are two ways to reach the fort. First is from Karjat & another is from Lonavla.
One has to travel to village called valvande which is around 15Kms from Lonavla. From there one has to walk another 14 Kms to reach the fort.
